Aidan García
Financial Advisory, Corporate Restructuring & Tax
AITI, QFA, Licensed IP
Aidan has been providing specialist Financial, Tax and Corporate Restructuring advisory for more than a decade, with extensive experience across a wide range of industries including hospitality, leisure, property, construction, retail, transport, and heavy manufacturing.
He was Managing Director of CollinsGarcía for eight years before the firm rebranded as Sabios in 2020, propelled by Aidan’s reputation and the original firm’s impressive portfolio of work. Prior to founding CollinsGarcía, Aidan worked in industry for a well-known agri-food business.
Aidan has advised on all aspects of Corporate Restructuring including Corporate Investigations, Restructurings, Insolvency and Tax based litigation. He has acted as Liquidator, Receiver and Examiner on over 200 cases, and regularly oversees complex litigation cases in Commercial Court.
Due to his extensive experience in such matters, Aidan has acted as an expert witness in numerous insolvency and tax cases, and he is a member of the Revenue Commissioners panel of Insolvency Practitioners.
Aidan has particular expertise in VAT on property; Capital taxes on development land; taxation considerations arising from property development; and close company taxation issues, as well as cross-border tax advice between Ireland and a number of other EU countries.
Formerly an international amateur and professional boxer, Aidan applies the drive and focus of a sports career to the pursuit of results for clients. He regularly takes audit/investigation/appeal cases for taxpayers in Ireland and is accustomed to handling complex litigation across the full spectrum of restructuring and tax, ensuring clarity and resolution for key stakeholders.
A licensed Corporate Insolvency Practitioner, Aidan is also a Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA, AITI), a Qualified Financial Advisor, Qualified Stockbroker and a Qualified Personal Insolvency Practitioner.


Mark Lonergan
Tax
BCL, LLM, BL, FCA, AITI
A qualified Barrister, Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser, Mark has been providing specialist Tax advisory for more than twenty years, with a particular focus on tax issues for SMEs and Private Clients.
Prior to joining Sabios, Mark trained with a big four firm and worked in senior roles with various medium sized accountancy practices.
In addition to assisting SMEs and private individuals, Mark’s expertise in tax matters allows him to provide specialist consultancy services to other accounting/legal professionals.
Mark has particular expertise in VAT on property, taxation considerations arising from property development, and company cash extraction issues, as well as succession planning for High Net Worth Individuals.
As taxation is a multifaceted discipline, Mark takes a holistic approach to supporting clients, considering their tax issues from all angles, including legal, accountancy and commercial. A tax problem can often be solved by a company law provision, the application of an accounting standard, or indeed the application of EU Law.
Mark also has significant experience in dealing with Revenue in contentious situations including Audits, Investigation and Tax Appeals. He has been involved in hundreds of Revenue Audits and numerous appeals at High Court level.
Mark has lectured on accountancy, taxation and law in various third-level colleges and to professional bodies. He regularly publishes articles in Tax/Accountancy Journals, as well as in publications like the Sunday Business Post and the Village.
Outside of fiscal matters, Mark’s principal interest is in attending Hurling matches, and he was a long suffering Limerick Supporter until 2 years ago!
Terry Leggett
Terry was a Senior Partner in Eugene F Collins, with over 40 years’ experience.
While dealing mostly in commercial litigation, Terry has specialised throughout his career in banking and financial product litigation.
Amongst other expertise, Terry has significant experience in the area of Corporate Recovery Law and has extensive experience in litigation relating to this field.
Terry also frequently advises on Regulatory matters for State Bodies or Associations.

Enda Murphy
Enda Murphy is a Chartered Accountant and a Consultant; he recently retired from RGA as Executive Vice President in 2017 where he was Managing Director of its European operations, and COO of its internationals business.
Enda expertise is in Life, Annuity and Asset intensive structed reinsurance contracts on a global basis. As Executive Director of many of the groups global subsidiaries, Enda was approved by several international Regulators and gained a deep understanding of business development strategies, Audit, Risk, and Investment issues.
Prior to joining RGA, he was founding Managing Director of De Laga Landen Re (part of the Raba Bank group) and Canada Life Reinsurance where he developed the business targeting European and North American markets using subsidiaries in Ireland, Bermuda and Barbados. Previously was a founding Director of Canada Life Europe selling life insurance from Ireland into the German market. Enda is a former Director of DIMA (the Dublin Insurance Managers Association). He’s primary focus in Sabios is to assist in the growth of the firms financial services tax advices offerings.
Our Team
Marianne Zankoski
Marianne is a qualified Solicitor in both Brazil and Portugal with a Postgraduate Diploma in International Taxation and is a member of the Irish Taxation Institute.
Prior to joining Sabios, Marianne worked as insurance lawyer before dedicating herself to tax and becoming a tax lawyer in her native Brazil, representing tax payers across a variety of tax matters including appeals and tax litigations.
Within Sabios Marianne specialises in providing international advices from an Irish perspective as well as Irish VAT from EU perspective on both business to business and business to consumer transactions. Her clients include accountancy firms in Ireland and International law firms seeking expert Irish taxation advices.
She also provides expert advices in relation to Irish Revenue Interventions, Aspect Queries, Audit and Investigations as well as handling taxpayer appeals for both Irish and non Irish clients.
Her sectoral experience includes Life Sciences, Investment Companies, Logistics and Media and Pharmaceutical Companies.

Rachel Gaffey
Rachel is a Qualified Tax Advisor with a Bachelor’s degree in Law (B.C.L., University College Dublin) and a Masters degree in Law (LL.M., Trinity College Dublin).
After completing her Masters at the Trinity College, Rachel worked in the Tax Department of RBK one of Ireland‘s largest Accounting and Taxation advisors where she provided advices across a number of tax heads with a particular interest in Capital Gains Tax and Capital Acquisitions Tax.
Prior to joining Sabios she also worked in Deutsche Bank – holding the position of Legal Regulatory Analyst.
Her specializations are Capital Gains Tax, Capital Acquisitions Tax, Trusts and Offshore Assets, Stamp Duty, Mergers and Reorganizations, VAT and International Taxes
Samantha Tough
Samantha is a part qualified accountant (ACCA) and has a BA(Hons) in International Business & Chinese (Finance Major).
After completing her Bachelor’s Degree she moved to Canada where she worked as admin coordinator/finance assistant for an international architectural firm.
Within Sabios, Samantha specializes in Insolvency and company restructuring. Samantha has extensive experience managing Examinerships, Receiverships and solvent and insolvent liquidations in a wide variety of industries.
She has extensive experience liaising with creditors, directors, solicitors, landlords auctioneers on a daily basis and in bringing liquidations from beginning to conclusion.

Lisa Beggiato
Lisa is the company Office Manager and she completed her Bachelors Degree in Economic and Business Management in Italy.
Prior to joining Sabios, Lisa had many years’ experience providing top customer service to international clientele. In Sabios, Lisa looks after all the administrative and financial aspects of the Company and the ongoing internal training.
Lisa is a driven individual who excels at organisation and optimising the efficiency of work streams in the office. Lisa is dedicated to continuous professional development and since joining Sabios has become qualified in payroll and project management.
